Mayor Celeste: 600K tourist arrivals in Hundred Islands achievable

Alaminos City Mayor Arthur Celeste said he is expecting a 44% increase in tourist arrivals in the Hundred Island National Park for 2017.

The Pangasinan politiko said he is optimistic that tourist arrivals will reach 600,000 visitors, compared to 450,000 in 2016.

“As of July this year, tourist arrival has reached 420,000 and we might hit our 600,000 target,” Celeste said.

Celeste said the improvements in the Hundred Islands National Park greatly contributed to the boost in tourist arrivals.

“That means they patronize and accept that our city is one of the most beautiful destinations in Luzon,” he said.
