Mark Go’s proposed annual 10-day incentive leave gets House OK
Baguio City Representative Mark Go’s proposed measure seeking to require an annual 10-day incentive leave with pay for workers has been approved on third and final reading.
Under the Baguio politiko’s House Bill No. 6770, every employee who has rendered at least one year of service will be entitled to the yearly 10-day incentive leave.
The proposed amendment will not apply to those who are already enjoying a similar benefit or those enjoying a more than 10 days of vacation leave.
It also exempts establishments employing less than 10 people.
“The granting of such incentive boosts the morale and satisfaction of employees which is manifested in their increased productivity,” Go said.
“Leave credits also minimize the risks of health and safety issues among employees which may be even costlier for both employers and employees in the long run,” he added.
