Mangaoang slams PDC resolution vs P5.5B Chico River mega-dike project
Kalinga Representative Allen Jesse Mangaoang slammed those opposing the P5.5-billion Chico River mega-dike project.
A supposed Provincial Development Council (PDC) resolution was recently circulated calling on the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to put the project on hold.
The Kalinga politiko and Mountain Province caretaker said the move was meant to sow confusion about the project.
Mangaoang said majority of the signatories of the supposed resolution denied having signed it.
“We never excluded anybody in the conduct of the previous consultations regarding the Chico River mega-dike project because we have in possession pertinent documents that they were actually informed about t5he plans for the mega-dike as early as two years ago,” Mangaoang said.#
