Imee Marcos wants to answer House questions through Skype

Jul 13, 2017 @ 17:18

Instead of appearing at the hearing of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, maybe Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos has suggested to answer the questions of lawmakers via Skype live video messaging.

“May nagsasabi na meron namag high-tech na video conferencing para di kayo makulong,” said Marcos.

Marcos noted she also received suggestions to ask lawmakers to send her a questionaire which she could fill up instead.

She has already been threatened with arrest if she snubbed the invitation of the committee which was investigating the anomalous purchase of P66.45 million worth of vehicles using the province’s tobacco excise tax share.

The Committee has already detained since May 29 six provincial employees for failing to answer questions during the inquiry.

“I would prefer to go, gusto kong pumunta,” she admitted.

“Pero nakikinig rin ako sa lahat nagsasabi sa akin na magdahan-dahan, maghunos dili,” Marcos said as she cited among those persons who advised her was her brother, former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
