Imee calls Bongbong VP, tells Ilocanos: ‘Wag kayong mainip, malapit na!’
Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos called her brother, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., “vice president” as his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo drags on.
During the unveiling of a historical marker in Batac to mark their father, former President Ferdinand Marcos’ 100th birthday Sunday (September 10), Imee rallied the crowd to be a little more patient in waiting for the results of her brother’s poll protest.
“Huwag kayong mainip. Malapit na!” she said.
The Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has junked Bongbong’s motion questioning the automated election system. However, the ruling allowed his camp, in part, to retrieve ballots and documents in Camarines Sur, Negros Oriental and Iloilo.
During the celebration at Batac, Bongbing said his camp is already preparing for a recount. He vowed to his supporters that their supposedly missing votes will be shown soon.
“Baka kaunti na lang at dahan-dahan ay gumagalaw na rin ang ating ginagawa. Yung inyong nawalang boto, palalabasin natin lahat yan,” he said.
