Gov Marcos wants more tourist attractions developed in Ilocos Norte for cruise ship visit
Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos has called on locals to develop more tourist attractions in the province.
The Ilocos Norte politiko said this in anticipation of higher tourist arrivals because luxury cruise ship Superstar Virgo will again dock in the province in December.
“I am hopeful that areas nearby like Batac, Badoc, and Paoay will develop ng mga kanya-kanyang pampasikat, mga tourist destination, para mapuntahan, so that everyone can maximize and makinabang dun sa sinasabing maximum tourist capacity of 2,600 every five days,” Marcos said.
The Superstar Virgo first docked in Currimao port in March.
Marcos also said there is a need to develop a finger pier so that there would be no need for smaller boats to transport passengers from the ship to the Currimao port.
