Gov Bernos: Gun ban to help maintain peace in Abra
Abra Governor Jocelyn Bernos on February 3 said the gun ban will help authorities peace and order in the province.
The gun ban comes after a grenade explosion killed two policemen and 25 others, including Abra Representative Joseph Bernos and his wife La Paz Mayor Menchie Bernos.
The Abra governor also thanked parents of athletes who participated in the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) meet for allowing their children to go to the province despite the recent violence.
“Thank you for the trust and confidence that you have shown to the province of Abra,” Bernos said.
“There’s what we call, there’s always next time. You are always welcome again, when Abra will have the chance to host CARAA again,” she added.#
