Go seeks to increase mandated paid leave to 10 days
Baguio City Representative Mark Go is pushing to increase the service incentive leaves of employees from five to 10 days with pay every year.
The Baguio politiko said his House Bill 6770 will benefit employees who have already been with a company for at least a year.
The House committee on labor, chaired by Cagayan 3rd District Representative, has already endorsed the bill for plenary approval.
The bill seeks to amend Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Philippines.
But Go’s proposed measure will not benefit those who are already enjoying the benefit or those employed in companies with less than 10 regular employees.
