Ginto na, naging tanso pa! Marcos family not offering gold or cash–Bongbong
Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos has described as “scam pure and simple” a report that his family is offering cash and gold.
Over 100,000 people on Saturday trooped to UP Los Banos (UPLB) in Laguna after word spread out that a cooperative was promising P500,000 from the Marcos wealth to those who would register with them.
The amount, however, will be given in tranches–P10,000 monthly through a bank, which event coordinators declined to identity.
“We have just received reports of people gathering because of promises of gold from the Marcoses,” Bongbong said.
“We do not know of nor have any involvement of any of these gatherings. It’s a scam pure and simple,” Marcos said.
The gathering was reportedly organized by One Social Family Credit Cooperative. The UPLB Department of Human Kinetics gave them the permit to hold their activity.
“I have repeatedly warned the public against unscrupulous individuals who have been using our family to advance their personal interests. Today’s event is a classic example of that,” Marcos added.
