Former CEZA administrator: Graft complaints are baseless
Former Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) administrator Jose Mari Ponce said the graft charges filed against him over the alleged anomalous P5-billion Port Irene breakwater project are “baseless.”
According to a Northernforum.net report, Ponce said he will prove that there is nothing anomalous abut the project.
Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba earlier filed graft complaints before the Ombudsman against Ponce in relation to the Port Irene project.
But Ponce said he was not surprised by Mamba’s complaint.
“As this matter has been constantly brought up for the longest time, it would be great to finally shed light on the issue in the spirit of transparency and accountability,” Ponce said.
