Feeling House Stark! Gov Marcos: Winter has not come yet for father’s legacy

Ilocos Norte Imee Marcos, during the opening of the Marcos 100: The North Remembers Forum on September 8, said that former president Ferdinand Marcos’ legacy is still alive.

The Ilocos Norte politiko and eldest daughter of the late dictator said that for the centenary celebration of Marcos’ birth anniversary, the provincial government wanted the festivities to be simple but intellectually stimulating.

“Gawin natin ang gusto ng tanging ama ko: simple, diretsuhin, payak, intelektwal, at palaisipan,” she said.

“Today we launch the series of lectures and fora that will define Marcos at 100 in this very reflective effort in what, finally, is the Marcos legacy. It shall also be, in addition to being austere and intellectual, most heartfelt and compassionate,” she added.

The Ilocos Norte governor also said “winter has not come yet” for Marcos’ legacy.
