Fariñas daughter now head of PBMLP
Like father, like daughter.
This was after the daughter of House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Rodolfo Fariñas, Ria Christina, was elected as the new president of the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP).
The lady politiko, in a statement March 1, said she is grateful for the overwhelming support. She ran unopposed during the February 28 PBMLP election held at Sofitel Hotel in Metro Manila.
“I share this victory and honor to my provincemates,” Fariñas said.
As PBMLP president, the lady politiko, who is now on her second term as provincial legislator of Ilocos Norte’s first district, shall represent the PBMLP in the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP).
Formed in 1998, ULAP is the umbrella organization of all leagues of local government units (LGUs) and locally elected government officials. Its main function is to help convene and represent its member leagues and local governments to national and sub-national policy and program committees in strengthening and capacitating LGUs for local autonomy and good governance.
