DV Savellano wows ASEAN delegates with Ilocos Sur cuisine
Ilocos Sur 1st District Representative Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano is truly a Pinoy tourism advocate.
The politiko recently welcomed delegates from members-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in a dinner held at the Victorino’s Restaurant.
The food, of course, was Ilocos Sur cuisine, which Savellano said is a fusion of Southeast Asian, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, and Okinawan culinary traditions.
“I hope our Southeast Asian neighbors enjoyed our local cuisine – rice cooking variations, liberal use of fish paste or bagoong in the local dialect, exotic food like wild frogs, river eels, and crickets, and raw or semi-raw meat and fish dishes,” he said.
Yummy na naman niyan, Cong. DV!
