DPWH includes Bataoil’s Pangasinan-Zambales road project in priority list
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has included Pangasinan 2nd District Representative Leopoldo Bataoil’s pet project, the Pangasinan-Zambales Road, as one of its priority projects from 2017-2022.
The Pangasinan politiko earlier dubbed the 54-kilometer Pangasinan-Zambales road as “Daang Kalikasan.”
Bataoil said the road project aims to open the two provinces to eco-tourism.
The proposed project will traverse a former logging road, which Bataoil said can be maximized for eco-tourism.
He also said that this will enable Pangasinan to establish another economic zone in the province.
It also aims to cut travel time from Pangasinan to Zambales to just one and a half hours.
