Di basta-basta ibibigay! Gov Mamba won’t surrender P90M-DILG grant for road projects
Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba called on the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to extend the deadline for submission of requirements for the Conditional Matching Grant Program (CMGP).
The DILG earlier set the deadline for the CMGP requirements for road projects to April 30.
The DILG, last year, already forfeited P328 million in CMGP grant for Cagayan due to the province’s incomplete requirements.
Mamba blamed the Cagayan provincial board for the late passage of the province’s 2017 budget for the debacle.
“Kasi hindi ako su-surrender, because I believe na atin ‘to. Na kung puwede lang sana na walang kondisyon na ibigay nila, because we deserve to be helped by the national government,” he said.
