DFA opens consular office in Ilocos Norte
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on May 8 finally opened a consular office in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.
The new consular office is located at Robinson’s Place Ilocos.
Prior to the opening fo the consular office, the Ilocos Norte provincial government partnered with the DFA for mobile e-passporting services in the province.
Ilocanos won’t have to travel to La Union and Cagayan for passport processing.
“DFA is committed to make its passport and other consular services more accessible to our people,” Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said.
“The opening of these two consular offices is a firm example of that commitment,” he added.
