De Venecia eyes Magna Carta for film workers

Pangasinan 4th District Representative Christopher de Venecia has vowed to push for the creation of the Magna Carta for Film Workers.

The Pangasinan politiko, during the film workers summit on August 31, heard the industry workers’ different concerns and proposals.

De Venecia also said he will work to address the gaps in the law to better protect film workers.

But he admitted it would not be easy because of the complex bureaucracy and intense lobbying needed to pass the magna carta.

“As a champion of culture and the arts in the lower house, we assured this sector that we will do everything in our power to address the gaps in the law and collaborate on the creation of a Magna Carta for Film Workers,” De Venecia said.
