Cabanatuan cops nab mother for bribe attempt for release of 2 sons
Authorities have arrested a 52-year old woman for allegedly offering P30,000 to a personnel of Cabanatuan City Police Station in exchange of releasing her two sons who were facing illegal drugs case.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 said Francisca de Leon, a widow, businesswoman and resident of Purok Narra, Brgy. Pamaldan, Cabanatuan City, is now under the custody of Cabanatuan police.
She allegedly sought for the release of her two sons Mario and Eusebio de Leon by trying to bribe a policeman.
The De Leon brothers were both arrested during an anti-drug operation in Brgy. Pamaldan at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12.
Confiscated from the duo were three sachets of suspected shabu, illegal drugs paraphernalia and P1,000.00 marked money.
Francisca faces charges for violation of Article 212 of the Revised Penal Code (Corruption of Public Official) while her to sons were charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
