BFFs na! Marcoses dines with the Communist Party of China

Once upon a time, the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos used the alleged threat of a communist insurgency in the Philippines to justify martial law.
Years later, his wife, son, and daughter-in-law are dining with the Communist Party of China (CPC)!
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., his wife Louise Araneta-Marcos, and his mother and Ilocos Norte 2nd District Representative Imelda Marcos had lunch with the CPC and Chinese officials.
The younger Marcos posted a post-lunch photo on Instagram on Wednesday, January 10.
Joining the CPC delegation were Deputy Director H.E. Meng Xiangfeng and Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Zhao Jianhua.
To the CPC delegation, Marcos said “the honor was entirely ours.”
He even got a book signed by no less than President Xi Jinping himself!
“Of particular note was the book by President Xi Jinping, which I will begin reading tonight! Xiexie!” said Marcos.
Guess the hatchet has been buried here?
