Bawal mag-cutting classes! Ilagan City eyes passage of Anti-Truancy ordinance

The Ilagan city council is looking to stop cases of cutting classes among elementary and high school students.

Ilagan City Councilor Jayve Diaz said the proposed Anti-Truancy Ordinance aims to keep students in school/

Diaz also said the proposed measure will keep students safe and prevent them from using illegal drugs.

“Eto yung isa sa mga rason na makaiwas sa masasamang bisyo at iba pang ikakapahamak nila, so for them to be more disciplined at para na rin sa peace of mind din ng ating mga magulang,” Diaz added.

An “Anti-Truancy Board” will also be created under the proposed ordinance.
