Baguio highlights ‘creative city’ status in Charter Day celebration
Baguio City’s recognition as a Creative City by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was highlighted during the Summer Capital’s 109th Charter Day Anniversary celebrations.
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said highlighting the designation as Creative City in the field of Crafts and Folk Art is timely.
The city was the first Philippine city to be included in the prestigious list.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating and Moving Beyond 109 through Culture of Creativity.”
The celebration will also include the awarding of the Baguio’s top 10 outstanding citizens.
