Baguilat scores Duterte 4 of 10 in first year in office

Ifugao Representative Teddy Baguilat is giving President Rodrigo Duterte a grade of 4 out of 10 at the end of his first year in office.

The Ifugao politiko lauded Duterte’s strengthening of diplomatic ties with China and Russia, his efforts to pursue peace talks, economic agenda, and infrastructure development program.

But Baguilat said Duterte needs to drastically improve his performance in what he called the president’s “ill-conceived and bloody war on drugs.”

He also slammed Duterte’s seeming disregard for human right.

“One year of course is not enough to assess an administration’s achievement versus promises. But on the basis of his mantra that change is coming, the change has not been encouraging,” Baguilat said.
